Ripley (fka Sunshine) was adopted in April 2024. She lives with her new kitty sibling and is enjoying life in her new home. Her adoptive mom had this to say:
"Sunshine (I call her Ripley now), is doing great! Her and my other kitty play all the time and she’s been very fun to have around."
Spencer (fka Stitch) was adopted in March 2024. He is enjoying his best life with his new family and even has an older canine brother to enjoy his days with! Here is what his adoptive mom has to say about him:
"Spencer loves our home and our older dog, Beau. We keep him busy with new places to walk and hike. He has been enrolled in a group obedience class for Awesome Adolescents at the Humane Society and he knows all of his basic commands. He has very polite leash walking skills. He definitely has some fears with new people and we are doing our best to socialize him with positive experiences. He is great at the vet, taking showers, getting nails trimmed, massages, etc. Our older dog has bi-monthly chiropractic treatments and Spencer always comes along and gets touched everywhere by the chiropractor. He has gotten much taller but we think he will be on the smaller size (maybe 35 lbs) which is the perfect size for us. Thank you for checking in and thank you for all you do for animals."
Shorty was adopted in October 2023. We received a fabulous "pupdate" from his adoptive family. Boy did he win the jackpot! Check out what he's been up to with his new family, including his feline sibling Bailey:
"Shorty is doing great! He finished his fundamentals training in December and we’re going to sign him up for the advanced training soon. He’s been a wonderful, happy little pup who is very affectionate and energetic. He has settled into his new home very nicely and has grown too (weighs just over 30 lbs). Most importantly, he’s become friends with our cat Bailey. We’ve taken him to the dog park in Poway several times and loves to play chase with the other dogs. He also loves going for walks to the lake. During our holiday break, we explored Julian, Liberty Station, Balboa and Coronado. His favorite was Coronado dog beach. He also joins us for other activities like going to lunch or coffee where he enjoys a pupaccino on occasion. We absolutely love and adore Shorty. We are so happy that he’s part of our family. Thank you to ARWOB for all the support during Shorty’s adoption process."
Scout was adopted in October 2023. Her adoptive family sent this cute photo letting us know that she is doing well and gets along with her canine sibling Loke.
Maya (fka Shortstack) was adopted in June 2023. Her adoptive family is in love with her! Here is what her adoptive mom has to say about her:
"Maya is doing great! I feel like we hit the jackpot because she really is the perfect pup. She is the queen of the house and keeps everyone in check. She is incredibly patient with our almost 2 year year old and even our newborn. She is so smart and gentle but a little hurricane when she is let off leash. She loves being chased by other dogs while she shows off her zoomies. When she’s inside, she loves following us around and is curious about anything and everything. She has become very close with not only our dog, Balto but also our cat, Apollo. They are inseparable and play any time they’re inside together. They also snuggle and sleep together. We currently have training signups at the top of our list so Maya can continue to learn. Until then, she gets lots of walks and playtime. She is such a great walker, even when the neighborhood dogs join in. She gets lots of compliments from the neighbors for her good behavior. She almost never barks and has become very confident in herself. We are so happy to have her a part of our family. Thank you so much for rescuing her!!"
