To make the most out of your time, we suggest you SUBMIT an adoption APPLICATION BEFORE an adoption event.

Check the animal attendance the morning before the event to confirm attendance of a particular rescue. In addition, please check the up-to-date animals attendance list 1 HOUR BEFORE an event to know if the dog or cat you want to meet is still attending.

Also remember to review important event information BEFORE attending.

We not only provide you with everything you need to take care of one of our rescues, but the experience is SO fulfilling. By placing one animal into a foster home, you allow us to save another. We are always in need of foster parents.

Meet Peter! Peter came to ARWOB along with 8 other poodle mix dogs. He and his companions were relinquished from a low income family in Tijuana. They needed help and ARWOB stepped in to rescue the entire group.

Here is what Peter’s foster family has to say about him: “Peter is a kind, sweet, loving, playful and obedient dog. He loves to be right with you walking around the backyard or house! He also loves to sit on the couch and sleep while you pet him. His favorite rubs are on his head and belly. Once you stop petting he'll beg for more! He is very good on a leash, and can last the night in his kennel. He would have fun going on evening walks, or easy hikes, not so much a running doggie. He is also good with cats, other dogs, and would be great with a family with kids.”
