Nelli

We received a fantastic "pupdate" about Mija (fka Nelli), who was adotped from ARWOB in June 2020.  Here is what her adoptive mom has to say:

"Mija (formerly known as Nellie) is doing GREAT! She is a healthy 45lb dog that loves going to the beach, playing with her multiple toys, and going for daily walks and outings. She is great with other dogs (she has many dog friends), she is great with kids, and is a big people person. Due to COVID, we trained her ourselves and she has been fun to work with. She is very smart (smarter than us at times) and catches on quickly. When we got her, we were told she was a big chewer but we recognized she just needed to keep busy, so no chewing incidents (if you don’t count that one book I told her I wasn’t enjoying and she ”fixed” that for me).  She rings the bell to come in and out of the yard, comes back to use with a whistle at the beach, and understands many words. Her biggest nemesis is that pesky squirrel that runs through the yard every day. For sure her focus is on squirrels when they are present but I know they taunt her endlessly. She has made it possible for our fruit trees to produce fruit and not become squirrel meals so we thank her for that. She’s not spoiled at all (eye roll) and she never makes us laugh (eye roll), especially early in the morning when the dog tornado hits the bed when the alarm clock goes off or when it’s time to participate in yoga. She’s been a great addition to our family and we love that she’s such a great dog who gets along with everyone, big and small."

Nelson

We received a nice "pupdate" about Kota (fka Nelson), who was adopted from ARWOB in June 2020.  Here is what his adoptive mom has to say:

"Kota has been the most wonderful addition to our family. He is so sweet. He loves to go to Fiesta Island and meet other dogs. His vet said he is “a very happy dog,” with an “exceptional coat. “ He weighs 52 pounds. I even ran his DNA. Isn’t he adorable?"

Nala

We received a fantastic update about Sesame (fka Nala), who was adopted from ARWOB in June 2021.  Here is what her adoptive mom has to say:

"Nice to hear from you! Nala aka Sesame is settling in easily and wants to play play play! She made herself right at home and is very talkative. She has the cutest meow. She always greets me happily at the door when I get home from work and lets me know when she wants to play which is basically all the time. It’s been an interesting few weeks learning each other‘s boundaries but for the most part we are two peas in a pod. She definitely has her cuddle moments and sleeps beside me at night. She is the perfect companion, and is pretty good about not jumping up on the counters. I love her to pieces, my baby girl."

Nash

We received a wonderful "update" about Ash (aka Nash), who was adopted from us in May 2021.

"Ash (formerly Nash) is doing great! He’s coming out of his shell and loves to spend time with my family during visits and other dogs at the park. Training is ongoing and he has taken well to it. We’ve gone to parks, hikes, and trails are the beach this weekend. We’ve quickly become great friends and I look forward to many more adventures with my new bud."

Nash

We received a great update about Nash (adopted May 2021) from his adoptive Dad!

"Thanks for checking in! He’s doing great! First day was an adjustment period but ever since then each day has been smooth sailing. I introduced him to the bird the second day and he doesn’t really pay attention to him. The bird also ignores the dog for the most part so it seems that they’ll coexist without issues like I anticipated. The pup is enjoying his new home and his exercise he gets daily and I’ve not noted any behavior issues other than typical dog stuff like chewing on something he mistakes for a toy. Crate training is going great too and he falls asleep at nights very easily!"
