Meet Pipper!
This handsome fella was rescued as a young adult dog trying to survive the streets of Ensenada Mexico. He is currently fostered in Ensenada, Baja, Mexico by her orignal rescuer. His foster is one of the kindest humans who has helped thousands of Mexican animals in dire conditions. She depends on ARWOB to find adopters or foster homes in San Diego so we can keep the doggos 'moving' opening space for other dogs who need help from the streets, being homeless, abandoned or in bad conditions by not great owners. Would you like to help an underdog? Perhaps foster or foster with an intent to adopt? Then please submit an application online and once we have your information we can contact you to start the process of approving a foster or adoption application.
This doggo will be attending our upcoming adoption event, PLEASE, come down and visit him and other dogs like him who are in dire need of help in finding a forever or temporary home. NO pressure. Just come down and at least meet them to interact with them and chat with their rescuers/fosters about them. We know our doggos well but then can certainly use a one on one foster home since most rescuers have several foster dogs under one home and we like to divide the work of love helping these pups.
Mega adoption event Saturday 06/15/24 from 11am to 3pm. Several rescue groups attending so please, look for the big canopy of ARWOB located close to the cinema reeding building.
You do not need to submit an application online ahead of time and are welcome to just come down meet them and go home if you'd like to foster or adopt one of our rescue dogs. OR submit ahead of time and we can schedule a meet and greet outside of scheduled events.
A little about Pipper: When he was first rescued he had ringworm and after a couple of months of treatment he is perfect skin and healthy as can be.
He is a very affectionate dog, always seeking human attention and petting. He sleeps in a crate. He enjoys being in the patio/yard and his outside time sun bathing and eating grass if possible.
He may be 5yr old but he is pretty energetic and playful, he loves to chew hard items like benabones or hard plastic toys even wood sticks. His friends are Hazel and Ambar also ARWOB rescue dogs available for adoption. He is currently fostered with Ambar both have the same energy and playful activity. Both fostered around several senior small breed dogs.
He really enjoys car rides. Unfortunately his foster is in the medical profession which means she rescues and fosters dogs as a hobby not able to spend much time with her foster dogs. Pipper is a bit 'chunky' probably because he is not well excercised and bored LOVING his food. He is 58lbs but he is a 'shorter" guy which means he likely should be ideal weight in the 47-50 pound range.
Would you like to foster this guy and open room at his baja rescuer home to help more dogs? He would be great for a home with a yard/patio where he can spend some time and either taken for walks to excercise or spend more time with him playing fetching to run around and burn some energy.
If you are interested in helping an underdog then pipper is your man! Adult large breed and a big time mutt! not your typical pure breed or puppy which people want to adopt the most.
Visit ARWOB.org for event information or to submit applications online
