Georgie

Meet Georgie!

This sweet pup has been living with his foster family and they have told us that the name Georgie sutis him to the T.  So he is now Georgie, formerly known as M.I.B.  Here is what his foster family has to say about him (as of 8/11/25):

"Georgie is bundle of fun! He is friendly and sweet with everyone, humans (adults and kids) and dog-friends. He hasn't yet met a cat yet but would likely warm up or adjust pretty quickly. Georgie walks great on a leash and is fully crate trained! He sleeps through the night no problem in his crate and will happily rest in a crate if you are aware for a short while. Georgie is working on learning to sit and stay. One of Georgie's favorite things to do is run around the backyard carrying stuffed toys and flinging them around. He hasn't learned fetch or tug but loves playing with the toys on his own. He's a lover and will give lots of kisses if you'll let him. Georgie does great at the vet. He greets everyone he meets and sits patiently in the lobby. He can be shy with new humans at first but once he's confident you are a friend, he won't leave you alone. Georgie's bark is more like a chirp - it's definitely easy on the ears!"

Georgie is an adorable "alien" little man who is a fantastic SUPER MUTT! This little guy was rescued alone while venturing in the streets trying to seek asylum and help. His finder looked around for anyone who had a litter of pups, thinking that he perhaps wandered off from his family.  However, they found nothing. Since early March this little cutie has been under the care of rescue and he is now READY for the next part of his journey in finding a forever family.

Georgie is your typical active small breed pup.  He is curious, active, playful and mostly pure fun! We think he is a pug/chi mix, but he really could have the genes of every single breed in the world given he is a Baja mutt. We do know he will not be bigger than 25 pounds when he reaches full size and will likely reach only 15 pounds when full grown. If you are looking to add a small breed to your family, please understand he is NOT tiny and already weighs 10 pounds.  We say this because too many potential adopters are looking for a pup that will be under 10 pounds and he is NOT that dog.  However, he is still your perfect example of "tiny but mighty!"

We are looking for adopters with time in their hands to add a puppy to their life.  That means puppy training both in/out of their home, as well as house/potty training and normal dog training classes so that he will grow up to be a great dog with good manners. He adores other dogs, although adopters do not need to have another dog in the home.  However, we request that adopters are going to socialize him and keep him happy by having doggy playtimes, as he would not be a happy dog just being someone's companion in the house.  Please understand that it's not only about human needs, but also about the dog's needs.

If you are interested in this adorable little man, please complete an online adoption application at www.arwob.org.  Don't wait!
