Meet Marco!
An amazingly sweet and loving lab/dalmatian/pit mix. Forget that this guy is VERY handsome, but he is also very friendly!
Marco was abandoned at a San Bernadino Animal Shelter on 7/14/2012 and was facing euthanasia. He came to the shelter as a pup with an old fracture of his carpus on the left front leg. Because it was an old fracture, it healed badly causing his foot to face outward and look like a deformed front paw. Because it is not painful to him, he runs, walks and has a normal life. The veterinarian's medical opinion was that no surgery will be needed.
Marco was adopted on 7/19/12, after which he has thrived and been loved. However, his current family has a senior shepherd mix dog and a young adult cat and are faced with the difficult decision of re-homing Marco since their senior dog is arthritic and not doing well with Marco bouncing around the house playing and running around.
Marco gets along with cats, all dogs, and people. He LOVES people and has a TON of energy (he still acts like a puppy). He's OK on a leash, but still pulls a bit, and is fine off-leash at dog parks. He has ONLY demonstrated aggression over a bone that my other dog stole from his crate.
I truly believe he would have a much better life with a family who could devote more attention to him, and perhaps another dog that could match his energy. He is just too energetic to be around senior pets.
