Meet Teddy!
Teddy is an adorable "super mutt" rescued from Baja Mexico. He was found in early March abandoned inside a cardboard box with lots of bedding. He is now fully vaccinated and neutered.
Teddy is a mutt, but he resembles a Samoyed/Retriever mix, perhaps even an Aussie mix. Who knows! But if you are looking for a little polar bear who looks like a panda bear when it rains (thank you, mud!) then you have found him! We believe he will grow to be in the 40-60 pound range when full grown.
He loves the water and is not afraid of it. You can actually find him cooling off by the water bowl quite often. His dense coat means he is a 'burr" magnet. So if you are taking him on a hike with lots of weeds, he will need a good brushing to remove the burrs or fox tails from his fur.
Teddy is VERY human oriented and super loving. He really enjoys being around humans! He is great with dogs of all sizes and shapes and he also gets along well with cats. He is crate trained and sleeps well through the night. He takes a few naps throughout the day in his crate whenever he gets tired out or needs a break for an hour or two. He WILL let you know when his hour or two is UP and he wants to come out of his crate. Therefore, his adopter must have a work schedule that is conducive to a young pup being in the home. He is NOT house trained, so adopters must have done their research about potty training and have the patience and time for it. He is also currently teething like crazy and has little sharp teeth, so families with young children or seniors with fragile skin must be aware that he may "get you" during these puppy stages.
