Meet Puma!
Puma is a true beauty, inside and out! She is a gorgeous marbled Tabby with beautiful green eyes. As of 2025, this poor sweetheart is the longest ARWOB residing rescue kitty under our care. She has been with us since June 2022. She was rescued/exited from the Devore shelter along with her adorable kittens. Of course the babies have all been long adopted since 2023, but this sweet girl continues her rescue journey hoping to find a forever family who is looking for a VERY easy going chilled young adult cat. Puma stayed at the Casa de ARWOB for the majority of her time, sharing the home with both many foster cats and dogs and did amazing with them all. She is a "peace and love" kind of kitty, who sought NO trouble or drama. She can easily cohabitate with cats. As for dogs, as long as they are easy and gentle mannered, she has no problem sharing the home with them. If the dogs are 'too much' she will keep her distance and observe cautiously.
Thankfully, Puma found a foster home in Pacific Beach with a single adult who is retired and lives in an apartment with no other pets. She is enjoying having a human all to herself and her foster mom has this to say about her:
"Puma has been with me for over 5 months now and is very sweet, has gorgeous markings and a joy to Foster!
If you'd like to schedule a meet and greet to meet Puma, please submit an adoption application online and we will contact you to schedule a call. Puma may not show very well during her meet and greet, as she may hide or be insecure/apprehensive when strangers come into the home. For this reason, we are seeking adopters who are serious about adopting her and know she may not show well at all, which is hard when trying to adopt a new forever family member. Hence, we recommend any potential future adopters consider venturing into a 'foster to adopt' trial for a couple of weeks to give her a chance to open up and show you who she truly is. She can be very loving with the right human(s) when she is happy and comfortable. She does NOT love to be picked up and carried around though, she is a shadow kitty who is always around you. But if you are seeking a lap cat, she is not likely to be on your lap BUT right next to it. She is perfect if you are looking for an easy going cat friend for your friendly cat.
Puma has excellent litter box manners and is a very healthy kitty, vetted and READY for adoption. We currently do not have a cat adoption center or hold adoption events for cats. We like to schedule meets where the animal resides, which means we must approve applicants before we schedule the meet and greet. Therfore, we need to have a submitted online adoption application and to schedule a call to make sure it can be approved in order to move forward. Please, submit applications at ARWOB.org
