Meet Allie!
Allie is also known as 'Ayla' especially by her foster. This sweetie was rescued from Ensenada, Mexico when he was seen resting, or trying to rest uncomfortabely in a gasoline station by the dumpsters. Her rescuer noticed the dog looked sad and not really moving, she approached to see if she was OK and when Allie got up to move to welcome the human coming to pet her she noticed that allie has a vaginal prolapse. Poor dog, so many people drove by without paying attention to her need for medical help. She quickly took her to the closest veterinarian who was able to fit her in for spay that same day and surgically fix the prolapse. Easy fix but it needed medical intervention certainly was not going to improve on its own and Allie is one lucky girl she had her rescuer stop by for gas at the time she did.
A little about Allie:
She is a beautiful medium size shepherd in the 50 pound range who we believe is approx 5yrs old. She is very people friendly and can be on the 'independent' side when just chilling at home. She really LOVES human attention and is so appreciative when she recives it without being needy. She is crate trained and doing well on leash walks which she really enjoys.
This friendly and social pup is available to adopt and currently fostered in Ensenada, Mexico with her original rescuer as her foster mom. If you'd like to adopt or foster this sweetheart please submit an application online for review and a volunteer will contact you to schedule a call. Once we have an approved adopter or foster we can bring her over to San Diego to meet you.
If she has not been adopted or found a foster by our next dog adoption event then she will attend and you can drive down to meet her without submitting an application first. If you meet her and would like to move forward to adopt or foster then we will request you submit an application at that time. Meet Allie and some of our other dogs at the Mega Dog Adoption Event Saturday 6/15/24 from 11am to 3pm at the Grossmont center in la mesa (you can find more information on our event calendar) submit applications online at ARWOB.org
