To make the most out of your time, we suggest you SUBMIT an adoption APPLICATION BEFORE an adoption event.

Check the animal attendance the morning before the event to confirm attendance of a particular rescue. In addition, please check the up-to-date animals attendance list 1 HOUR BEFORE an event to know if the dog or cat you want to meet is still attending.

Also remember to review important event information BEFORE attending.

Meet the 7 New Mexico pups!

These adorable pups have the looks of a larger breed, labrador and perhaps, and small terrier breed markings. Mom was an approximate 25 lbs medium size breed. Sadly, the way these pups were rescued was by being notified of a young female dog who was hit by car and tragically died. A few people who had noticed her hanging around an empty lot noticed she had 7 pups. One of the rescuers had another mama dog who had only 2 nursing pups and was able to save these guys by having her be a surrogate mom for these now 7 orphans. The pups have thrived and are now ready for adoption. We don't know what breed(s) the dad was, but do know mom was a smaller/medium size girl. We do believe these pups can be anywhere in the range of 20-40 lbs with the potential to be somewhere in the middle of that weight range. They are now 2 months and approx. 5 lbs If you are looking for a small to medium size breed dog that falls in this potential weight range, then we encourage you to submit an adoption or foster application for them.

If you would like to foster one of the pups first before adopting, please, submit the adoption application and under comments section notify us you would like to foster first before adopting, no foster application would be required. These guys are very social and like a typical pup are NOT house trained and will need an adopter with time on their hands to help with house training.
